Pharrell Williams - Pharrell Desperate To Work With The Strokes

Superproducer PHARRELL WILLIAMS enjoyed working with THE STROKES star JULIAN CASABLANCAS so much, he's desperate to contribute to the rock band's next album.

Williams, one half of hitmaking duo The Neptunes, recently teamed up with Casablancas and singer Santogold to record a song for footwear company Converse.

And he hopes his previous work with Swedish group The Hives will show how serious he is about producing more beats for rock stars.

He says, "I'm talking to him about their next record. I want it bad!"

"Julian and I were in the studio together. We came together and did a track for the commemoration of the 100th year anniversary of the Chuck Taylor (shoe).

"I really wanna do it. I don't know (if Casablancas wants me), but I'd love to (produce the album)."

The Strokes are due to return to the studio later this year (08) to record their follow up to 2006's First Impressions of Earth.
